HomoeopathyHomoeopathy recognises that all symptoms of ill health are an expression of disharmony within the whole person. This complementary system of energetic medicine seeks to stimulate the body's natural healing processes to prevent and treat disease.

Treatment involves giving microscopic doses of substances in a specially prepared form. In larger doses, the substances would produce those same or similar symptoms. The homoeopathic method of treatment is based on the system developed by Dr Hahnemann over 200 years ago that “like cures like”.

Treatment is individualised to each person, with remedies selected according to a total picture of the patient's health and well-being. This picture is drawn from a number of questions the homoeopath asks the patient, about their lifestyle, emotional state and other factors, not just from their symptoms.

Homoeopathy is gentle, safe and effective and can be used by ANYONE, young or old, fit or not so strong. Homoeopathic remedies are natural, non-addictive and do not have side effects. They can help overcome many commonly recognised physical problems and also provide help with emotional states which can sometimes be part of the cause of physical symptoms.

Homeopathic Drop-In Clinic

Open from Monday to Friday 9.30am – 10.30am. No appointments necessary. Patients are seen on a first come first served basis.

Consultations last approximately 10-15 minutes. The cost is £10 including prescribed remedies.

In an acute illness, homeopathy can be used to stimulate the body's natural tendency to heal itself, and so promote a more rapid recovery from minor ailments.

During a consultation at the drop-in clinic, a homoeopath will observe a patient and may ask questions about changes in their temperature, appetite, thirst, sleep patterns, energy and mood since the acute illness began. Appropriate remedies will then be prescribed to help speed up the recovery process.

The drop-in clinic also offers advice on immunizations and vaccinations as well as homoeopathic travel alternatives which are useful along with your GP's recommendations.
