To all our resilient and fabulous patients,

As we’re sure you all know, the Government has announced a relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions as of Monday the 19th July. Due to this announcement we have been considering the implications of a relaxation of social restrictions and other infection control measures in the local community and how this might affect The Vale Practice as a healthcare provider. We are also acutely aware of the rapid rise of COVID infections within our community recently.

Bearing all this in mind we have decided to maintain our current infection control procedures which include PPE use for our therapists, surface cleaning and requests that patients wear masks and hand sanitise when attending the practice unless exempt. We are doing this in an effort to limit health risks to our patients and staff and will continue to do so until the situation looks significantly different. This decision is in line with Public Health England and our own regulatory organisations which have recently issued the following statement:

‘In line with the public health bodies of England and the home nations and Government recommendations, it is still recommended that patients are encouraged to wear a face-covering when receiving osteopathic and other out patient clinic based care, unless exempt.’

We all thank you for your continued patience and understanding and we will continue to endeavour to give you the best care we can when you need it.

Daniel Kay

(The Vale Practice Clinic Director)
