Revitalize & Thrive: Energizing Green Smoothie Delight

Ingredients:

 

  • 1 cup fresh spinach leaves (or kale for a heartier flavor)
  • 1/2 cucumber, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 green apple, cored and chopped
  • 1/2 banana (for sweetness and creaminess)
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flaxseeds
  • 1/2-1 cup water or coconut water (adjust for desired thickness)
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions:

 

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Wash the spinach (or kale), cucumber, apple, and lemon thoroughly. Peel and slice the cucumber, core and chop the green apple, and juice the lemon.
  2. Blend Greens and Liquid: In a blender, combine the fresh spinach (or kale) with water or coconut water. Blend until smooth.
  3. Add Fruits: Add the sliced cucumber, chopped green apple, banana, and lemon juice to the blender.
  4. Include Seeds: Toss in the chia seeds or flaxseeds for added fiber and omega-3 fatty acids.
  5. Blend Until Smooth: Blend all the ingredients until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency. If the smoothie is too thick, you can add more water or coconut water and blend again.
  6. Adjust Consistency and Taste: Taste the smoothie and adjust the thickness by adding more liquid if needed. You can also adjust sweetness or tartness by adding more banana or lemon juice according to your preference.
  7. Serve: Pour the green smoothie into a glass, add ice cubes if desired, and enjoy!
